potty training a puppyDogs are really affectionate animals and respond really well when you praise them for a job well done.

You can use this to your advantage when you are house training your puppy and it will really help you to establish a bond with your puppy that will last a lifetime.

While some dog trainers will tell you to use treats to praise you puppy, I have found that just saying something like “good boy” in a very positive and upbeat tone is enough to let your puppy know that he or she has done a good job.

When you take your puppy outside to do his business, you can use praise when she goes potty where you want her to. This is a good way to train your puppy to go in a certain spot and she will be more willing to do it again if you show her you are pleased.

If you are using treats to praise your puppy, use them sparingly. We all know how much dogs love food and will do almost anything to get it, but you don’t want to over feed your pup because it may cause some health issues down the road.

Another thing that works well is to pet your dog when she does something right. I have found that this works really well because dogs are show offs and love being the center of attention. It is crazy some of the things they will do too make you happy and pet them.

My dog loves it when I praise her and she will try and do some weird things to make sure I do give her attention. When I was potty training her, I was able to use this to my advantage and she ended up being really easy for me to train. I think that showing your dog how much you love her and appreciate it when she does something right is a great way to reward her.

Once you understand the power of praising your dog, you will be able to train her much more effectively. Of course you will also have to correct mistakes she might make, but as long as you are using plenty of praise, either with dog treats or just verbally, you will have a dog that will listen to your every command and not be disobedient when she grows up.
